Voice Assist combines the latest speech technology with internet based information and a world class telecommunications network, to provide phone based services that are easy and safe to use, and allow you to be connected from any phone, anywhere. With a speech driven user interface, Voice Assist is ideally suited for a mobile hands busy environment, like in the car, or on the go. By being able to dictate emails, text messages and web posts, Voice Assist makes it faster, safer and more convenient than using a keypad. With email and other web based information read to the Voice Assist subscriber, it’s possible to keep focused on the road rather than on the mobile device.

Management Team

Michael Metcalf - Chairman and CEO

As chairman and CEO, Michael Metcalf brings over 26 years experience in the telecom and speech recognition industries. He is a serial entrepreneur, having previously founded and managed a number of successful companies. He was founder, CEO and chairman of SpeechPhone LLC, a cloud based unified communications service provider. He also founded and was CEO and chairman of Sound Advantage LLC, provider of on site speech recognition based messaging platforms and earlier in his career he founded and managed Telwest Inc, an interconnect and systems integrator.

Tracy Roberts - Chief Product Officer

As the chief product officer for Voice Assist, Ms. Roberts, has responsibility for product strategy, product design and development as well as the overall user experience. She brings to this role over 25 years of experience in new product development to Voice Assist, having brought to market innovative products and services in speech technology, mobile products and services, web services and communication solutions. Previously, she led product development at SpeechPhone and was instrumental in the design and development of the original Voice Assist functionality. Before that, Ms. Roberts was Vice president of Marketing for Loquendo (Telecom Italia) – a speech technology products and services provider. Previously, Ms. Roberts was also the Senior Director of Product Management for AltaVista, providing product leadership during its formative days which helped it grow to be one of the top ten most trafficked web sites globally. She was also responsible for the launch of AltaVista Korea and international strategy for Asian markets. Ms. Roberts has also held a number of product and user experience leadership positions at Nortel Networks and Bell-Northern Research in the U.S. and Canada.


Board of Advisors

Bob Howard

Bob has had a long and distinguished career selling professional services and technology solutions. Since 1996 when he founded Sales Overdrive’s predecessor company, Sales Logic, Bob and his partners and associates have been building successful sales engines for a wide variety of clients. The firm’s focus has been on accelerating market momentum sales velocity through design and rapid deployment of sales and marketing strategies, recruitment, training, and mobilization of inside and field sales professionals, the achievement of large wins with key accounts, and the attainment of critical business alliances and venture capital.

Earlier in his career, Bob spent 15 years in corporate financing services, principally with GE Capital and PruCapital. He was responsible for selling, structuring and closing a large number of complex financing solutions for Fortune 500 and smaller companies.

Bob holds a BA in Physical Anthropology and MBA in Finance and Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a Kleberg Student. He has been a frequent visiting speaker at the Graduate School of Business and has testified before the FERC and a number of other government agencies.


Barry M George

Mr. George is a proven technology industry veteran who has built successful organizations, both public and private, over the last 30 years impacting a wide range of enterprises through direct, indirect and hybrid business model throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. Currently the Vice President of Global Sales for enterprise security innovator Wedge Networks. Previous to Wedge, he has held senior management positions in Sales, Marketing and General Management with Siemens, Toshiba and D-Link Systems where Mr. George guided the company from start up to IPO. Mr. George received his BA in Economics from the University of San Francisco, a MS candidate in Organizational Leadership from the University of Texas at Dallas and a member in good standing of the International Coach Federation.


Andrew Rauch

Andrew Rauch has more than 15 years of experience working with and serving board of directors, CEO’s, executives and business owners on matters of strategy, marketing, technology, compensation, business development, capital and giving campaigns.

Andrew has jointly or independently served and advised more than 200 for profit and not-for-profit organizations in industries including technology, training, real estate, telecommunications, consulting, professional services, banking and venture and philanthropy. He is the Founder of ventureandphilanthropy.com, an advisory, consulting and coaching firm which provides leadership, top-line revenue growth and philanthropic services to start-up and growth organizations.

Andrew serves on the Advisory Board of Solid Green Systems, Sales Overdrive, LLC., Director wtih Common Steps and Elder with Hill Country Bible Church, Dripping Springs.

Andrew earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York.
